In the phrase “I love you”, the verb “love” means yêu in Vietnamese.
That’s easy!
However, when it comes khổng lồ addressing yourself (I) & the other person (you), it’s a little bit more complicated in Vietnamese.
How you address people mostly depending on your relationship with that person, their gender and age (generation).
But don’t worry!

In Vietnam, when being in a relationship or going to lớn be in a relationship, the word anh is used khổng lồ talk about the man, while the word em is used to talk about the woman.

You can address yourself as tao (I) & address the other person as mày (You).
So to say “I love you” khổng lồ a close friend in Vietnamese, you'll say:
Tao yêu thương màyNhiều means “a lot” or “much” in Vietnamese. Lắm means “very” or “so”.
Therefore, nhiều lắm can be translated as “very much” or “so much”.
For examples:
Anh yêu em những lắm ⇢ I love you so much (man lớn woman)Con yêu người mẹ nhiều lắm ⇢ I love you so much momHere are some useful phrases that you can use to respond when someone says “I love you” lớn you in Vietnamese.
To make this sentence, simply place the word cũng before the verb yêu (love).
Cũng is the equivalent of “also” or “too” in English.
For examples:
Em cũng yêu thương anh ⇢ I love you too (woman lớn man)Con cũng yêu cha ⇢ I love you too dadThis is another way khổng lồ respond to lớn the phrase “I love you”. Simply place the word nhiều hơn at the kết thúc of the sentence.
Nhiều hơn is the equivalent of “much more” in English.
